A few words about your work tasks and responsibilities (or research area):

My current research fields cover International Finance and Multinational Corporate Governance. I mainly conduct research and write papers for publication.

A few words about your career. Where your started after graduation and how your career have progressed:

I studied and did my doctoral research in Finance at Hanken School of Economics in Finland after graduation. During my PhD period, I published my paper in a SSCI journal. I received my PhD in Finance in 2016. After that, I come to Harvard University as a visiting scholar (faculty level) for the year of 2017. Currently I have both affiliations at Harvard University in the US and Hanken School of Economics in Finland.

Any advice you would like to current students:

I really appreciate my master study in USBE since it lays the strong foundation for my further learning in Finance. I think that my master study in USBE is critical to open the door for my academic career and professional research. If you would like to continue doing professional research in academic fields, then PhD study is an important approach. Writing a publishable journal article is very different with writing a master thesis. To conduct good research, you’d better be creative and professional as possible as you can.
